Time Management & Study Strategies

The Academic Resource Center provides confidential one-on-one support to any undergraduate or graduate students who are struggling with issues pertaining to their academic career at Tufts and who wish to work with someone to make progress toward their academic goals. Most students have trouble managing some aspect of their academic lives at one point or another during their time at Tufts, and we have found that those students who are motivated enough to utilize our services tend to make significant improvements.

Our time management consultants are available to work with you on a wide range of academic concerns, whether you wish to learn how to manage your time more effectively or you need some assistance adjusting your study habits to college life. We also work with students who feel unmotivated, frustrated with their study strategies, anxious about exams, or disappointed with test scores which do not reflect how much they studied or how well they know the material. We see hundreds of students every year, and so no matter what your particular concern, you are certainly not alone in your struggle. Common topics include:

  • basic time management
  • effective scheduling
  • organization
  • procrastination
  • problematic perfectionism
  • writer's block
  • motivation
  • study habits
  • study skills & strategies
  • test anxiety
