Writing Resources

Teaching Resources

Our programs and services are designed to provide the resources our students and faculty need to improve the quality of writing across the curriculum. To this end, we provide support to seniors writing an Honors Thesis, we train faculty and TAs on how to prevent plagiarism and respond appropriately to cheating, and we facilitate the Academic Integrity Workshops offered to incoming first-year students during Orientation.

The staff offers consultations and workshops for faculty who wish to incorporate more writing in their courses, grade papers more effectively, and design writing and research assignments. We assign Writing Fellows to classes to assist students with written assignments.

We sponsor faculty forums, colloquia, and conferences designed to promote campus-wide discussions about the most effective ways of teaching and learning writing, research, and speaking skills.
