AFTER you submit your CSS
PROFILE form, you will receive from CSS, via
regular mail, a Cover
Sheet letter with details about the forms required by Tufts, such as
the Upperclass Aid Application noted above, a
Business form, etc. These forms must be submitted
with the Cover Sheet, directly back to the
College Board's
IDOC
service.
Do not send
documents directly to Tufts; they should all be
sent to the IDOC service.
Deadline: April 15, 2009
If
applicable, for
Returning upper class students only, the
paper Noncustodial
Parent form (NCP) should be mailed directly to
Tufts University, not IDOC. Please ensure that
the student's name and ID are clearly written on
anything sent to Tufts. We will inform the
student and the noncustodial parent if
taxes or additional other forms are required.
*If 2008 taxes are not yet completed, please do
so as soon as possible, submitting them in one
single packet to IDOC, ensuring that they are
signed and contain all schedules,
attachments
and W-2 forms. Please do not submit state
taxes. Aid awards will be
tentative until 2008 taxes are received and
reviewed.
Upper class Financial Aid Award Notices will be
sent out at the end of June.
International financial aid is based on need.
Awards will consist of grant and possible
eligibility for an on-campus job. NEW:
International student applicants will complete the
CSS PROFILE and follow the process and deadlines as
noted above for returning students. Parent and student
2009 taxes, translated into English and U.S. dollars
as needed, are required. No FAFSA
is necessary. Customer Service can be reached
via email at
help@css.profile.org or via a call to
305.829.9793. Tufts does not offer Fee Payment
Codes.
If an International student enrolls at Tufts
without financial aid as a first year student, that
student is not normally eligible for aid in
subsequent years at Tufts. An exception may be made
for an International student who has completed at
least two years at Tufts, and whose family has
experienced an unanticipated change in family
financial circumstances. In these cases, limited
funds may be available, and the student may apply
for an emergency grant and/or loans. Other
information may be found here on the
International Center web site.
