Returning Students Financial Aid Application Checklist

CSS Profile CSS Code: 3901 Submit to the College Board by April 15. Keep track of your CSS PIN  
FAFSA Federal School Code: 002219 Submit to the Dept. of Education by APRIL 15. If you do not have a FAFSA PIN, request one here.  

Documents below must be received by IDOC by April 15, 2008

Document Reminders Instructions Date Submitted
Parent 2007 Federal Income Tax Return Tax returns must be signed and complete with all schedules, W-2's and 1099 forms. Submit to IDOC. If Non U. S. taxes were filed: Submit these translated into English and US dollars to IDOC. Submit these to IDOC, a service of the College Board. AFTER you file the PROFILE, they will send you, via email, a Cover Sheet with instructions about submitting these forms to them.  
Student 2007 Federal Income Tax Return Tax returns must be signed and complete with all schedules, W-2's and 1099 forms. Submit to IDOC.  
CSS Business/Farm Supplement Include appropriate corporate or partnership federal tax returns with all applicable schedules. Submit to IDOC.  
Tufts Aid Application Download, complete and submit to IDOC.  

Additional Documents ONLY the forms below, if applicable, are to be submitted directly to Tufts Date Submitted
Noncustodial Parent Form If this form is applicable to you, it may be downloaded and submitted to Tufts University by April 15, along with Noncustodial's 2007 federal taxes.  
Study Elsewhere If you are planning to study in a non Tufts program in 2008-09, please submit a complete Consortium Agreement directly to Tufts.  

**** IMPORTANT NOTICES ****
Late Application Penalty NEW POLICY: For applications made complete after June 16, 2008 the student's Tufts grant will be reduced by $1000.
Eligibility NEW POLICY: Students who complete applications after August 1, 2008 will be ineligible to receive Tufts grant funding for the Fall term. If you have extenuating circumstances that will delay the completion of your financial aid application, contact your financial aid counselor, in writing, as soon as possible.
Loan Only If you decide not to apply for grant aid from Tufts, but would like to apply for a Stafford loan only, you simply file the FAFSA. Please notify us of this decision by April 15, 2008.
