SENDING YOUR LETTERS TO SCHOOLS
It is now July and we are accepting requests to have your committee
packet – composite letter and all supporting letters – sent to
medical and dental schools. (Vet school info to come)
In order for this to happen we need five things:
A – The HPRC request form that is the last sheet in your info
packet. It is printed on pink paper if you picked up a hard copy.
Here is a link to our website where you can find and print out the
packet and another form if you do not have one:
http://uss.tufts.edu/hpa/ApplicationProcess/;
B – A hard copy of the screen that tells you your application has
been received;
C – A hard copy of the screen that lists the individual schools to
which you have applied;
D - AMCAS Letter Request form
F – A check for the flat fee of $25 (payable to Trustees of Tufts
College) for all the committee work and
processing and sending of your packet.
If any of these four items is missing, then your request will be
returned to you and you can resend with all the materials.
HPRC SUPPORT STAFF
You may be aware that Tufts has a hiring freeze and we have not been
able to hire a staff person to handle our HPRC process. It is very
important that you use this email address:
hprc@ase.tufts.edu when you
send materials or ask questions. Some of you began emailing Liz
Regan directly. Liz is no longer filling in on this work. A
different staff person is this month, and it will likely be a third
person in August. So if you want your materials received and
processed, it is much wiser to use a central email box that several
people can access and monitor.
Remember to call the Front Desk at 617-627-2000 to check on what
letters have arrived, what date your interview is, whether your
packet has been sent (after August 1), etc. Multiple people answer
that line as well.
