 AACOMAS

 May 2010 

 Range from October, 2010-to
April 2011

 Letters of Recommendation sent directly to colleges following the processes outlined by each college.

 Scores should be sent directly to AACOMAS.  Applicants must use MCAT’s THx system to release their MCAT scores to their AACOMAS application.

Students must provide their 8-digit MCAT number, beginning with 1, on the MCAT section of the AACOMAS.

AACPMAS

August 1, 2010

April 1st is priority deadline.  Pending available seats, final deadline of  June 30th

Letters of Recommendation sent directly

MCAT Scores (no older than 3 years) must be sent directly to AACPMAS. A few colleges accept DAT or GRE in lieu of MCAT- see chart in FAQ section on

AADSAS

May 15, 2010; annual start date is on or around May 15th each year.

Different according to each school

Up to four individual letters of evaluation or one Committee Report plus one individual letter of evaluation.  Most AADSAS dental schools strongly prefer that letters are submitted to AADSAS either an online electronic document or as a paper letter that is mailed to AADSAS.

 

Official DAT scores are downloaded by dental schools through a DAT website.  Scores are made available for up to five dental schools with initial DAT registration fees; scores can be made available to additional schools through an additional designation process.

AMCAS

May 2010

Early Decision Program deadline is August 1. Regular M.D. program deadlines range Oct. 1 - Dec. 15.

 

Most medical schools receive letters through AMCAS. Evaluators submit letters electronically directly to AMCAS, or through Virtual Evals, or Interfolio.

 

MCAT Scores can be sent to AMCAS for distribution to participating schools, once the applicant releases the scores.

CASPA

April 2010

Range from November.-January.  Individual deadlines per school.

Three letters of recommendation and CASPA form are processed by CASPA and disseminated to colleges.

References can be completed electronically by  evaluators which are sent to CASPA electronically. Paper letters completed by using a Reference Form, which are returned to CASPA

 

All test scores (except GRE) should be sent directly to CASPA.

OptomCAS

July 15, 2010

Range from December, 2010-May, 2011

Recommendation letters must be sent directly to OptomCAS by the evaluator, either electronically or paper.

 

Official OAT scores are downloaded by optometry schools and colleges through an OAT website.  Applicants are asked to self-report OAT scores on the OptomCAS application. 

 

Send official transcripts directly to OptomCAS by the school or college’s deadline. 

PharmCAS

June 2010

Range from November 2010- March 2011

Send up to four references to to PharmCAS which will disseminate to colleges. Letters must be sent directly to PharmCAS by the evaluator, either electronically or hard copy.

Send PCAT, TOEFL, & TSE scores to PharmCas, if required. (PCAT not required by all pharmacy schools)

 

Send official U.S. and Canadian transcripts to PharmCas. Policies for Int'l transcripts vary.

PTCAS

July 1, 2010

Range from October, 2010-May  2011

Send up to 4 references directly to PTCAS using paper or electronic (eLOR) process. PTCAS will disseminate letters to designated programs.  Program-specific reference requirements are posted online at www.ptcas.org/ReferencesbyProgram.html

Send official GRE scores directly to designated PT programs, if test is required by institution. Beginning in July 2010, ETS will re-direct official scores to PTCAS, so they may be matched to the application.  Applicant MUST enter the SSN on both the GRE and PTCAS forms, so the scores can be matched to the correct file. Program-specific GRE requirements and codes are posted online at www.ptcas.org/GREbyProgram.html

 

Send official U.S. transcripts directly to PTCAS by program's deadline. Arrange for any updated fall 2010 transcripts to arrive at PTCAS as soon as they are available from the registrar’s office.

 SOPHAS

 

August 2010

Individual School Deadlines

Recommendation letters must be sent directly to SOPHAS by the evaluator, either electronically or paper

 

Test scores can be sent directly to SOPHAS. 

Official transcripts should be sent to SOPHAS.

VMCAS

June 2010

October, 2010

Letters and VMCAS form are electronically (eLOR) sent to and processed by VMCAS and disseminated to colleges.

TMDSAS

 

May 1, 2010

August 1st –October 1st

Recommendation letter or evaluation form to TMDSAS.

Applicants required to submit one Health Professions Committee Packet OR two individual letters of recommendation from Interfolio or Virtual Evals.
