Tufts FactTisch Library, formerly Wessell Library, opened in January 1996 after 21 million dollars worth of renovation and two years of new construction that added 80,000 square feet to the facility. Administrators and architects improved the facility with a $10 million dollar grant from alumni Jonathan and Stephen Tisch. Many praise the expansion, which built "out" instead of up in order to save the library roof, a popular hangout for students. |
