OCH, housed under Residential Life and Learning, provides resources for students eligible to live off campus. The staff provides knowledge to those students requiring assistance with their off-campus housing selection. There is an extensive website (http://ase.tufts.edu/och), where students will find information to assist in their housing search or current situation. Listed on the site are rental units that include the following categories: apartments for rent, roommates wanted, spring/summer/fall sublets, rooms for rent, temporary housing, etc. Students are highly encouraged to visit the OCH Resource Center where they will learn about safety standards, tenants and landlord rights and responsibilities, zoning laws, the average cost of rental units in the area, leasing contracts, security deposit requirements, etc. Students should contact staff for a one on one information session concerning their off-campus housing needs or visit one of our many information sessions conducted throughout the year at various residential sites. In addition, we host an annual Off-Campus Housing Fair attended by landlords, city health department officials, public safety officials, and community relations representatives, among other related agencies.
